Mode of Action
|
The mechanism of action of azoxystrobin is to kill fungal cells and inhibit spore formation by inhibiting the respiration of pathogens. Azoxystrobin is a methoxyacrylate compound, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit mitochondrial respiration, especially by blocking the electron transfer between cytochrome b and c1 in the respiratory chain of pathogenic mitochondria, thereby inhibiting the energy generation of pathogens and causing their cells to die of "starvation". This mechanism prevents the pathogen from normal energy metabolism, resulting in the germination of spores and the growth of hyphae, and ultimately achieving the effect of inhibiting spore production and killing bacteria.
