Cyantraniliprole, a second-generation ryanodine receptor inhibitor, takes effect quickly after insects feed. It activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscles, causing excessive intracellular calcium ion release and preventing normal muscle contraction. This series of reactions causes the pests to stop feeding in a very short period of time, and they experience muscle paralysis, loss of vitality, and even paralysis, ultimately leading to death.
