Mode of Action	Prothioconazole exhibits diverse mechanisms of action, possessing excellent protective, curative, and eradicative effects, along with good systemic activity and a long duration of action. The mechanism of action of prothioconazole is as a sterol demethylation inhibitor, suppressing the demethylation of lanosterol or 24-methylenedihydrolanosterol at the 14-position in fungi, thus affecting ergosterol biosynthesis and disrupting normal fungal physiological processes.

Applications:
Prothioconazole is primarily used on cereal crops such as wheat, barley, and rice, as well as rapeseed, peanuts, and legumes, and vegetables. It has a broad fungicidal spectrum, showing good control effects against almost all wheat and barley diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, Fusarium head blight, sheath blight, wilt, leaf spot, sclerotinia rot, net blight, and clouding.

In addition to being very effective against grain diseases, it can also prevent and control soil-borne diseases of rapeseed and peanuts, such as sclerotinia rot, white mold, and black shank, as well as major foliar diseases, such as gray mold, black spot, brown spot, black shank, and rust.
