Chlormequat Chloride is a plant growth regulator that can promote dwarfing of plants and enhance their ability to resist lodging. It mainly works by inhibiting plant growth hormone biosynthesis or conduction. 
1. Chlormequacin has a regulatory effect on crop growth. 
2. Chlormequat inhibits the biosynthesis of endogenous gibberellins. 
3. Chlormequat can increase the water absorption capacity of roots.
